If you read her official ADA description—“pink informal decorative”—you would miss the point entirely. Hello! That form. True to her maker Kristine Albrecht’s masterful hand, the petals are held tight at the center, then loosen into gentle waves as the bloom opens. Each one narrows to a fine tip, like the perfect flourish at the end of a signature.
And that “pink”? Her color reads more like muted peach-coral, with warm, smoky undertones and the faintest touch of gold at the petal tips.
And she’s a doer: With copious blooms and long, straight stems, she’s a cut flower dream. She’s equally at home in a border, where her height responds to the company she keeps. Give her plenty of light and she’ll stay shorter; pack her in tightly and she’ll reach for the sun. Ours have climbed to nearly 6½ feet, making her a gorgeous choice for capping the edges and backs of densely planted borders.
